Welcome to the Baltimore Chapter of LAI

The Baltimore Chapter of Lambda Alpha International was formed in 1992. Its members - from business, academia and government - represent a wide range of professions dealing with some aspect of land economics. We are affiliated with Lambda Alpha International, a land economics society with chapters around the country and abroad.  The Baltimore Chapter typically meets at noon on the third Wednesday of the month for lunch, a speaker addressing a timely topic, and discussion. Chapter members attend free; guests are welcome. Meeting guest fee is $20.

Kirby Fowler is President of the Downtown Partnership of Baltimore, Inc. (DPOB) and the Executive Director of the Downtown Management Authority - nonprofit organizations working with the public and private sectors to make Downtown Baltimore a great place for businesses, employees, residents, and visitors.  Downtown Baltimore is the fastest-growing neighborhood in the City.  It ranks 8th in the country in terms of residential density and 15th in the country in employment density.
